Filiep Bataillie, MD

Filiep Bataillie is an orthopaedic surgeon and works in the Department of Orthopedics at AZ Herentals, Belgium since 1991. Since 2019, he is also the medical director of this hospital.

His focus is from the beginning on hip and spine diagnostics and surgery. He started hip arthroscopy in 1993. His preferred pathology is the hip-spine syndrome and the proximal hamstring pathology.

He has been invited as speaker or as keynote lecturer in many international congresses, is the chair of the membership committee from the Hip Preservation Society (ISHA), has been the president of the Belgium Hip Society (BHS) from 2019-2021, and has been the chair of various Belgium congresses and hip arthroscopy courses. He has been awarded as ‘Personality of Care 2022’.
