Igor Tak, PT, PhD

Igor Tak is a Dutch sports physical therapist holding a Master of Science in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Sciences (B, 2000) and in Sports Physiotherapy (NL, 2013). He finished his PhD on hip and groin injuries at University of Amsterdam (NL, 2017).

In 2012 he funded (co-owner) Fysiotherapie Utrecht Oost – Het centrum voor Gezondheid, Beweging en Sport” (www.fysiopraktijk.nl), a multi-disciplinary centre for movement related disorders in Utrecht.

Besides his clinical work he conducts research as a post-doc, affiliated to the Amsterdam Collaboration of Health and Safety in Sports / IOC Research Center (+45 publications), and teaches on topics related to sports physiotherapy and rehabilitation with a strong focus on lower extremity, injury mechanisms and return to performance.
