Pim van Klij, MD, PhD
Pim van Klij is a sports physician in training at the Isala Hospital in Zwolle, the Netherlands. In March 2021 he successfully defended his thesis “The development of the non-perfect hip in young athletes”. His scientific work has focused on the development of the hip joint (FAI) in young athletes from the Feyenoord Academy, the association between hip range of motion and symptoms, and groin injuries in professional hockey athletes.
Nowadays, his main study is directed towards groin injuries in female athletes, with more attention for inclusivity and diversity. Pim also works as the club doctor of PEC Zwolle soccer club and the Landstede Hammers basketball club.
